A Letter to my Son

Dear Archie,

Happy Birthday my darling boy. Two years we have had the pleasure of getting too know you, watch you as you grow and become the toddler you are.

In those two years you have had many hurdles and you have smashed them all. Surgery, hospital admissions, blood tests not one has fazed you. Smiling through it all. Running around like a complete whirlwind, charming everyone you meet.

You have become a big brother and even though you have attempted to drive over Luna in many of your vehicles. You still spend your days kissing and cuddling her. Becoming a big brother has shown us how grown up you really are.

You hate us for helping to feeding you and demand ketchup on EVERYTHING. Your favourite foods are cheese, chilli, curry, spag bol and fruit. Fruit over chocolate any day! Sitting in your highchair is a nightmare as you always want to be on the move, and having to sit for at least 20 minutes is absolute torture.

You chimpy are the baby that made us parents. We went through this journey together. The first time we got to hold you, breathe in that new baby smell. The first time we experienced NICU together, the first time we shared tears over the fact we could have lost you in those first days. When we finally got to bring you home and have that first night together.

Dada is your favourite person, much to mama's annoyance. You give the best hugs, and spend all your time trying to make us laugh and annoying the dog. Poor Mr Jake is loved way to much by you. Somehow you have picked up an array of nicknames in your short life, Chimpy, Archibald, McChimp, Little Shit...

You certainly are very special to us and truly loved by everyone. We can not wait to spend the rest of our lives getting to know you and stealing sleepy kisses.

Happy 2nd Birthday Archie

Love

Mama, Dada and Baby Luna xx
